Can The Refrigerator Run 24 Hours A Day Without Stopping?

The temperature is very high in summer, which is also the peak period for the use of refrigerators. Many people may have questions when using refrigerators. The refrigerator is used 24 hours a day. Do they need to stop and rest? Will it burn out if used for a long time?

Each refrigerator has a temperature controller, which mainly adjusts the temperature inside the cabinet. There are two common thermostats now. One is the traditional mechanical type, which is divided into different gears, each gear represents a temperature range; the other is the microcomputer temperature control, which can set the temperature range and has more precise temperature control. No matter which one, it controls the temperature inside the refrigerator. When the temperature inside the refrigerator reaches the range of the thermostat, the compressor will stop running. When the temperature rises outside the set range, the compressor will continue to work. Therefore, the refrigerator itself does not work 24 hours a day, and it will rest in the middle. If the door is not opened and closed many times, the refrigerator has a good insulation effect, and the temperature inside the refrigerator rises very slowly, which will save electricity. So there is no need to worry about the compressor burning out if the refrigerator is used 24 hours a day.

Many people may do this, that is, shut down the refrigerator at night, put the product into the freezer or cold storage, and then turn it on the next day, and put the product from the freezer or cold storage into the refrigerator, thinking that this can save electricity for the refrigerator at night. The idea is good, but it may not save electricity in reality. Because although it saves electricity at night, it will take a long time to start the machine the next day to lower the temperature, so it may not save much electricity overall, and it increases the workload. Of course, for refrigerators with poor insulation effect, or special requirements for storage temperature, it is another matter.

Shutting down the refrigerator will accelerate the loss of the compressor, and after the shutdown, the Freon or refrigerant will condense for a long time, which will increase its viscosity and affect the service life of the whole machine. If you don't use the refrigerator for a long time, such as more than a few days, it is better to shut it down. Otherwise, there is no need to deliberately shut it down, and it can be powered on 24 hours a day.
